    About Heather (She/Her)
My passion for psychology began at age 11, when I was playing a video game that featured a mystery about a supposed curse. It turned out that the curse was only manifesting at all based on the afflicted's deep belief that it would work, and thus, their body changed. I've been fascinated by the power of perspective and how our understanding of that reality can so severely shape our lives and ourselves ever since. As a lasting result, my therapeutic approach lingers with the power of perspective. I strive to work collaboratively with you to uncover the intricacies of your perspective so that you may understand it, acknowledge it with compassion, and decide if it's one that you want to keep or not. If it is helpful to you today, or not. You are the author of your own beliefs, and together, we can change what isn't serving you and move towards the kind of stories that you want to tell about yourself and about others.
I have a passion for working with trauma, particularly sex related trauma. You are a person who deserves happiness and rest. You are a person who is complicated, nuanced, and amazing, even as it may feel like your past experiences are the only thing allowed to define you. My therapeutic approach is centered on this narrative approach and incorporates techniques and tools from EMDR, solution focused, cognitive behavioral, and mindfulness approaches. I have a holistic perspective and will always work with you to incorporate the context of your environment into our work together. It would be my privilege to walk with you on your journey, and I believe that together we can unlock unique and exciting momentum.
Serving Keller, Southlake, Grapevine, and surrounding areas.
